Wellness Hack: How To Drink More Water

I want to share with you a trick that I recently learned that has literally made my life so much easier! And it's all about tracking how much water you drink!

We all know that it's important to be drinking lots of water each day. The easiest rule of thumb for figuring out how much you need is to take your weight in pounds, divide it by the number 2, and the answer is the minimum number of ounces you should drink each day! If you work outside or do intense workouts that get you sweaty you need to add in more.

But how do you keep track? Water logging apps can be annoying and easy to forget to log into. Pencil and paper is great but what happens when you're out of the house and away from your note? Well... I'm about to share with you the easiest, handiest, most brilliant hack of all time! Are you ready for this???

RUBBER BANDS! 

You guys. It's so simple it's almost dumb. But it's not dumb, it's GENIUS! It makes it sooooo easy to know exactly how much water you've had and how much you have left to go for the day! It requires no apps and no note-taking. Here's how it works...

1. You figure out how much water you want to set as your goal for the day
2. You choose a water cup that you'll use all day and find out how many ounces it holds
3. You divide your goal of ounces by the number of ounces the cup holds
4. You put that many rubber bands on the cup!
5. Each time you refill the cup you move one rubber band from the bottom to the top!
6. When all the bands are at the top, you're done with your water for the day!
So my cup in the photo above holds 20oz of water. And my goal is 100oz of water. So I have 5 rubber bands on it! It's literally that easy!

You can go scrounge through your junk drawer and you'll probably find enough rubber bands! But if you want to make this even more fun, get brightly colored rubber bands like these! I love these because they are tight enough that they don't move all day and they come in pretty colors so I make patterns each day! It definitely makes water drinking a bit more fun and so much easier to track!

November Goals

It's November. Can you believe it? I feel like it was just August and then I blinked and now it's November. I guess having a new baby around will do that. I've been wanting to make some monthly goals lists public to share with you guys and then come back to them and tell you what I accomplished just so you can get more of a peek into what I do as a coach! Hope you enjoy!

November is one of my favorite times of year because everything is starting to transition into the holiday season and for me personally, this is the first month in like 6 months that I haven't had some sort of big event to go to so I'm really excited to be able to be a homebody and just put my head down and get work done for the next few weeks!

Thinks I'm looking forward to in November:
• Launching some cool new things for my team and our customers
• The holiday season arriving in stores and in our own house! (Is it time to decorate yet?!)
• Getting to be a homebody all month!

• Finish two of these three books: "Eleven Rings", "Braving the Wilderness", and "Onward"
• Launch our new Wellness Community (stay tuned for info on that!)
• Add 6 beautiful souls to my coaching team and begin training them
• Migrate the social media sharing of my fitness journey fully from Facebook to Instagram
• Update my FB business page
• Help five of my newest coaches earn their first $200 paycheck
• Pick out holiday presents for my leaders
• Plan my birthday week giveaway
• Figure out and finally start using Streak so I can respond to emails faster

The Three Ways To Be a Coach On My Team!


So many time I talk to people and they tell me they could never be a coach. And I ask them why they think that, and they tell me because x, y, and z. And then I say, "there's not just 1 way to be a coach!" and they are so blown away when they realize there are multiple ways you can utilize a coach account!

4. WHAT ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENT GROUPS IN EACH SHAKE?

- Daily Sunshine: Fruit and veggie blend, healthy fats, plant-based protein, probiotics, fiber, vitamins and minerals
- Shakeology: Globally sourced superfoods, phytonutrients, protein, probiotics, fiber, adaptogen herbs and botanicals, prebiotics, digestive enzymes, vitamins and minerals. 

5. WHY ARE THE CONTAINER COUNTS DIFFERENT?

- Shakeology is an excellent source of protein as it contains between 16-17 grams of protein and between 140 to 170 calories per serving depending on the flavor. This makes it perfect for one red container. It also has a vast array of other nutrients, but given how wide-ranging and exotic they are, they don't fit as neatly into a specific container. Daily Sunshine contains less protein (10 grams), which is considered a good source so ½ red makes sense. It also delivers the equivalent of a full serving of fruits and vegetables based on USDA guidelines. Because this is done using combination of both fruits and veggies, the most accurate representation is ½ purple and ½ green.
